1. Recycle mailing materials

Scotch® Plastic Bubble Mailers and Scotch® Cushion Wrap are now recyclable! Same great products—not only do they protect your packages, they also reduce the impact on the environment.

Here's how to recycle these products:

  • Bring to Municipal Recycling Facilities (MRFs). To find a facility in your area that processes this material, visit www.Earth911.com. Type in "plastic" and your location.

  • Visit www.plasticbagrecycling.org. This website can help you find other locations that accept used mailers. Go to Quick Links > Consumers and click on "find plastic bag drop-offs."

  • Send mailers back to us. No luck finding a drop-off site? Send your used Scotch® Cushion Wrap and Scotch® Plastic Bubble Mailers to:

2. Use tape refills & dispensers

Another great way to lessen the impact on the environment is to use our Magic™ Tape refills and dispensers. The packaging for our refills is made from 100% recycled paper, and our tapes are made in the USA. We also offer a cabinet pack of refills, which has less packaging than individually boxed rolls.

3. Scotch® Tape Brigade™

There are millions of tape dispensers and cores that end up in landfills across the country. Scotch® Tape is collaborating with TerraCycle™ to keep used tape dispensers and cores out of landfills. Through this innovative program, people will be able to collect used Scotch® Clear Tape Dispensers and Cores; once 50 dispensers and cores are collected they can be shipped back to TerraCycle™. All collected Scotch® Clear Tape Dispensers and Cores will be re-used and kept out of landfills.
