Create an oversized geometric design, as we did, or cover your window blinds in simple shapes, emoticons and playful notes. Consider this project the finishing touch to a room that is 100 percent you.

*May damage some substrates upon removal.

  • EXPERT TIP: Creating your own personalized blinds is easier to do when they are hung up. We suggest installing your blinds prior to decorating them with Expressions Magic™ Tape.

  • Using Expressions Magic™ Tape*, create a section of your repetitive pattern on posterboard. Carefully cut out your taped design to create a stencil that will be used as a guide in making your decorative blinds.

  • Stick your stencil to the top center of the closed blinds. Following the stencil and working your way down, apply tape to each slat of the blinds.

  • With a hobby knife, trim the tape to fit your stencil, using the actual slat as a straight edge.

  • Continue until the entire shade is covered. Use the hobby knife to cut slits and holes in the tape to accommodate the blind's working parts.

  • Turn the shade over to trim any excess tape you may have missed while working.
