Make the most of the sun's rays by layering strips of Expressions Magic™ Tape* on a reclaimed windowpane. To display, simply hang your new piece of art in an existing window.

*May damage some substrates upon removal.

  • With a single tape color—in this case we used blue—create outlines of geometric shapes across the windowpane. This process is called leading in traditional stained glass craft.

  • Fill in the geometric outlines by laying strips of colored tape flush to one another, trying best not to overlap. Trim the excess tape so it is neatly contained in the blue taped areas.

  • Using a straightedge and an hobby knife, clean up your outline by carefully trimming areas where the blue tape overlaps.

  • EXPERT TIP: Burnishing tape to the glass with your fingers will prevent bubbles. For super-pesky bubbles, poke gently with a small needle and press the air bubble out.
