Inspired by the recent succulent craze, we crafted a colorful container garden using easy-to-find clay pots and a mixture of brightly hued and patterned Scotch® tape*. This craft is easy, fun and doesn't require a green thumb.
To create a base of colors and patterns, stick short sections of tape diagonally around the base of the clay pot. Use Expressions Masking and Packaging Tape to create a variety of widths and textures for a patchwork look.
Trim areas of tape overlap using a hobby knife to make distinct shapes and sharp lines.
Working vertically around the clay pot, apply tape from the top edge in a straight line down toward the base. Snip ends to wrap tape smoothly under the bottom of the pot.
EXPERT TIP: For smooth tape layers, work in small sections diagonally and vertically around the clay pot.
